We're Engaged + Planning Your Wedding Attire with Stylebook

My beautifully classic engagement ring!
This may come as a shock, but...we're engaged! That's right - Stylebook co-founder Bill and I are getting married and we're so happy to share it with you! I can't tell you how excited I am to start planning and I'm especially excited to find a dress.

I've already started diving into my vast magazine collection looking for dress inspiration so I can scan the pages for my new Wedding inspiration folder in Stylebook. One of my favorites is this photo of Reese Witherspoon in a lace and ribbon gown from Vanity Fair. I don't think I'll wear lace, but I'm tracking everything that catches my eye just in case.

Believe it or not, there's even a bridal section in Stylebook's shopping feature! There's a category for bridesmaids, mothers of the bride, and brides. This means I can start searching for dresses, shoes, and headpieces by price before I even set foot in a bridal store. I figured some of our readers would be excited about that, too, so I put together a few images to show you how to find the bridal category inside the app.

How To Find Wedding Attire In Stylebook's Shopping Feature

  1. Open shopping
  2. Tap the "Category" button under "Shop By"
  3. Tap "Women"and then select "Clothing"
  4. Tap "Bridal"
  5. Then you'll have the option to select "Bride", "Bridesmaid", or "Mother of the Bride"
  6. Don't forget you can browse jewelry and shoes outside of the bridal category too for more options!

Once you've opened the category, you can start to search through the items by price, color, etc. You can even add the items to your closet so you can experiment with putting shoes, veils, jewelry and wedding dresses together with the app's outfit editor.

Tip: When removing the background on bridal images try the tap-to-clear tool in manual edit (don't forget to adjust the tolerance). Many of the pictures are a white dress on a white background so the tap-to-clear and the eraser work better than the slider.

If you're planning a wedding too, feel free to share your tips in the comments - we need as much advice as we can get! Thanks for sharing this special moment with us!
